The Call, about a gay couple waiting for word from an adoption agency, will warm your heart. It’s from the Family Equality Council in the US, part of the Allies for Adoption Campaign:
Family Equality Council connects, supports, and represents the three million parents who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender in [the US] and their six million children. We are changing attitudes and policies to ensure that all families are respected, loved, and celebrated—including families with parents who are LGBT.
“We can solve America’s shortage of adoptive parents if we would simply allow LGBT people to adopt in all 50 states,” said Gabriel Blau, Executive Director of the Family Equality Council.
This could easily be applied to Ireland also. Maybe Irish politicians could think about it coming up to the referendum on equal marriage.
