The Dublin LGBTQ Pride festival kicked off in true colourful style on Friday last 19th, as events both athletic and musical took place to start the week of Pride celebrations in the Irish capital.

Celebrating 30 years supporting the community, the festivities were officially launched at The George, one of Dublin’s most iconic gay nightspots. Irish Meteor Award winner Luan Parle, kicked off the official launch party by launching her new single, “Roll the Dice” (EDM mix), for a special Pride performance.

Friday also saw the annual Dublin Pride 5K at the Phoenix Park, sponsored by Arthur Cox & Citi Bank, and in support of BeLonG To. Before the race, Dublin Pride board member Aoife O’Driscoll chatted to Senator Norris at the O’Reilly Hall in Belvedere College about the past, present and future of LGBTQ life, with music from Glória DLGC and other guests.
