Theatre: Aisling’s Seven (The Central Bank Heist)

Ais seven posterWritten and directed by Cian Ó Ceallacháin – Cast: Susan Barrett, Stephen Gorman, Aisling Flynn

A fast-paced comedy about a couple with a dream (and too many crime caper films)

After a warm reception as part of Smock Allies Scene & Heard Festival, Aisling’s Seven returns in full form to Theatre Upstairs, Eden Quay, Dublin 1.

Ash and Dan, have a plan. They’re plotting a daring heist on Dublin’s own Central Bank. Armed with nothing but their wits and a crime caper film obsession, they hole themselves up at their base of operations (their flat in Ranelagh) to prepare every detail. (They’ve got their nicknames down and have at least one friend with a getaway car.)

We’ve all seen the movies, will they make it to freedom with the cash in hand or will they go out like a bargain basement Bonny and Clyde?

They have the best laid plans. What could possibly go wrong?
