For the first time in Galway Pride’s history, a printed guide to the week’s events and community updates will be available in the weeks running up to the festival. From August 1st, 10,000 copies of the 32-page, full colour guide, printed in association with The Craic in Galway, will be distributed throughout the city and West of Ireland.
In the guide, you’ll be able to find out about all the events the committee have planned for Pride week, which runs from August 15th-21st, as well as articles from the Pride chairperson, Bruce Henry, and the parade Grand Marshal and Ireland’s top Snapchatter, James Patrice.
You’ll also be able to see all the Festival’s partners, and those businesses that have supported and backed this vibrant and unique event.
“Having the Pride Guide is an exciting first for Galway this year”, says committee vice-chairman and co-editor of the guide, Eugene Burke.
“It’s an opportunity for the LGBT community to share their stories and celebration plans for the week with the wider public. It’s also a great way for local businesses and representatives to show their support for the event. We’ve been overwhelmed by the support and sponsorship that we’ve received from the Galway business community. It’s thrilling to think where things will go from here.”
Look out for the Galway Pride Festival Guide citywide from August 1st.
