Speakers from the world of sport, both amateur and professional, will explore the issues and barriers that discourage LGBT women from participating in sport. This event will take place on April 15, 2017, from 10 am to 4 pm, in Brighton, UK.
The Federation of Gay Games (FGG) aims to find ways to support and inspire LGBT women to get involved in sport – both in organised and informal settings.
Welcoming delegates will be Joanie Evans and Sophia Rodriguez. Joanie is Co-President of the Federation of Gay Games, and was instrumental in establishing the first lesbian football club based in Hackney, London.
Sophia is chair of the FGG’s Diversity Committee, which has been examining the issue of increasing participation in the Gay Games.
Delegate places are available free of charge to interested women from the LGBT community and their straight allies.
