Galway Community Pride Festival 2017 – 7th to 13th August!

With less than two weeks until Galway Pride kicks off (7th – 13th August) their are still some amazing fundraisers coming up that everyone can take part in!

On Thursday 27th July in Nova, there’s round two of Pride Idol, the X-Factor style singing and now lip-syncing competition.

Round one saw Conor Flaherty go through to the final on August 3rd, after giving the audience an incredible performance.  Bradley Rowles won the surprise lip-sync battle.  Judges Kitty Satine, DJ Joey, and Jay Molyneux all said what an amazing job both of the winners had done.  If you want to enter in round two, there’s still time.  Just turn up on the night with your backing track ready.

On July 30th, kicking off at 2pm from Nova, will be the “Gaymazing Race”.
Teams of two will head off on foot around Galway, following clues, getting held up at road-blocks, and completing challenges.  Entry is only €5 per person.

August 1st will see the now traditional and annual showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, at the Róisín Dubh.
Entry is only €5! Doors open at 8.30pm – film starts at 9pm.  Popcorn will be provided, so all you need to do is turn up!  Why not go as your favourite character?

August 3rd in Nova at 9pm will be the finale of Pride Idol, where we’ll see Conor sing for survival against who ever wins on the 27th!

All the funds raised from these and previous fundraisers are going towards the annual Galway Pride festival, which this year launches on August 7th, with a week full of events – from educational nights to cheesy pop nights!
