Netflix: New for August


It’s the start of a brand new month, and time for Netflix to release a variety of new Original films, TV shows and documentaries, as well as a huge selection of licensed content.

Netflix highlights for August include Marvel’s The Defenders, Atypical, Death Note, Icarus, The Beach, Dallas Buyers Club, and Mandela : Long Walk to Freedom.

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later
Ten years after the original film, fans can finally find out what happened to their favourite campers and counsellors in this eight-episode series.
Atypical: Season 1
Sam, an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum, takes a funny, yet painful, journey of self-discovery for love and independence and upends his family.
Marvel’s The Defenders: Season 1
It will take an epic team of heroes to save New York City. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage come together as The Defenders.
Disjointed: Part 1
She’s living her dream as the owner of a cannabis dispensary. She and the budtenders — her son and a guard — are pretty much constantly high.
The Mist: Season 1
A town is engulfed by a mysterious fog that conceals terrifying visions and deadly creatures in this new horror series based on Stephen King’s story.
