FGG: Help ‘Change the World’ by sending athletes from under-served countries to Paris 2018 – Gay Games 10

As #GivingTuesday approaches on November 28, and you think about how you are personally going to make a difference in the world, the Federation of Gay Games are reaching out to remind you of the life-changing impact that the Federation Of Gay Games Scholarship Fund has had on more than 800 deserving athletes and artists, since it was started in 1998.

The best way they know to convey the power of this effort is to let a select group of Gay Games scholarship recipients use their own voices, and tell you directly about what the Scholarship Fund has meant to their lives.

So, starting this #GivingTuesday, and in recognition of Paris 2018 – Gay Games 10 (4 – 12 August 2018), they will be sharing with you a series of inspiring and personal stories that, they hope, will give you all the right reasons to support the Gay Games 10 Scholarship Fund this year.

Unlike some other non-profit organizations, 100% of every donation goes to funding scholarships for members of the global LGBTI+ community — many living in countries where the daily struggle for equality is harsh, and often dangerous.

This #GivingTuesday, they ask you to join them in promoting equality in sport and culture around the world, to make it possible for an artist or athlete to go to the Paris 2018 Gay Games, and have the transformative experience that comes from being with thousands from one’s community, celebrating the values of ‘Participation, Inclusion, and Personal Best™.’
