Listen: ONR – Five Years Time

EILE’s Monday morning music slot brings you Scottish-based, indie singer/songwriter, ONR, and his energetic, politically-charged track, 5 Years Time, a track with strong synth beats and soaring vocals, detailing the frustration currently in the air, against a backdrop of dark politics. The vocals first blend in with the instrumental, and later dominate it.

Lyrically, this is one the darkest songs I have,” he explains. ONR  seemingly appeared on the music scene overnight, having leaked his first single, Jericho, through indie label, Leftwing, before signing to Capitol Records, and cites David Bowie and Arcade Fire as influences. He is currently working with producer, Mark Crew (Bastille, Rag & Bone Man), Doc McKinney (The Weeknd) and legendary mixer, Spike Stent (Massive Attack, Frank Ocean) on his debut EP, scheduled for release next year. We liked 5 Years Time, hope you do too!

5 Years Time is the latest single from ONR’s forthcoming EP, and is now available for streaming and download worldwide.
