The post holder will be responsible for coordinating ILGA-Europe’s engagement in Central Asian countries.
Through a new programme that includes regranting, capacity building, and advocacy activities, ILGA seeks to actively address the needs of activists in the region and contribute to the development of the movement.
The post holder will ensure effective coordination with project partners and implementation of project activities (e.g. regranting, events, trainings, etc.), provide direct capacity-building and movement-building support to LGBTI organisations and initiatives (e.g. through coaching) contribute to the development of expertise about Central Asia throughout the organisation to support effective engagement throughout ILGA-Europe’s activities, represent ILGA-Europe at meetings and events at national and European level, , maintain or develop partnerships and coalitions with other NGOs, allies of the LGBTI community and other relevant stakeholders and contribute to the other fields of work such as advocacy, communication, documentation and fundraising.

The Finance Director’s role is to contribute to ILGA-Europe’s overall success by implementing, managing and controlling all finance-related activities including strategic and operational financial planning, monitoring and reporting. The person will be expected to lead on developing financial plans and strategies to ensure the financial health and sustainability of ILGA-Europe; on developing and implementing financial policies, procedures and controls for sound financial management of ILGA-Europe’s financial resources; and on ensuring compliance of ILGA-Europe’s finances with all statutory and external requirements and regulations. The Finance Director will have a leading role to play in ensuring that ILGA-Europe has effective mechanisms to mitigate financial and non-financial risks. As manager of the Finance and Administration team, the person will also be responsible for ensuring effective oversight and management of all accounting / bookkeeping, payroll and human resources matters, and events organising.

Grants & Financial Officer
The Grants and Financial Officer will be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services for the organisation in order to ensure effective and accurate financial administrative operations and implementation of projects throughout Europe and Central Asia. The Grants and Financial Officer will also be responsible for the financial management and implementation of ILGA-Europe’s re-granting mechanisms (overseeing the grant re-process from application to reporting), while ensuring ILGA-Europe remains in compliance with internal and external grant regulations and budget constraints. The officer will also contribute to ILGA-Europe’s capacity-building work through providing support to grantee organisations on financial management.
