Video: CNN Interview on Carnival Cruises’ support for OUTBermuda

When Bermuda overturned their same-sex marriage laws recently, it led to Carnival Cruises teaming up with LGBT rights group, OUTBermuda, to mount a legal challenge to the new legislation (Domestic Partnership Act) banning same-sex marriage. Equal marriage had previously been legal in Bermuda since 2017.

Carnival Cruises is one of the largest cruise companies in the world (owning Cunard,Princess, and P&O Cruises) and has 24 ships registered in Bermuda, which means that it can no longer conduct same-sex marriages aboard its cruise-ships. They are furnishing OUTBermuda with financial, civic and public relations support to fight the ban, and are urging other businesses to do the same.
