This morning in EILE’s music slot, we feature the acoustic version of R&B/Soul singer-songwriter, Porcelan’s chart-topping #20 R&B Billboard single, LOIS LANE. Porcelan, from Memphis, is Apple Music Independent Artist of The Month alumni, and LOIS LANE is currently the #20 R&B single in America.
“I wanted to showcase a different side and a more stripped down version of the song. The love and support that the original song and video are receiving are simply amazing and I could not be more thankful for the embrace”, says Porcelan.
The beautiful ballad is based on the comic book character, Lois Lane, whose beau is none other than Superman. It was written by DeNarious Holmes, and produced by Hamilton Hardin, who also plays the piano in the music video.
Porcelan’s debut single,The Real Thing Don’t Change, was co-written by producer and Hall of Fame songwriter, David Porter, and multi-instrumentalist, Hamilton Hardin.
Porcelan tells us that she sang before an audience for the first time at the age of ten, and found her voice as a songwriter, performer, and first-time recording artist by the age of sixteen.
No wonder then that her voice has such a full sound and powerful range, and totally nails it in this acoustic version of her hit single, Lois Lane.
