Here on EILE’s music slot this morning, we feature the new highly-anticipated single from multi-ethnic Los Angeles-based band, Night Lights, called Talk To Me. With members from Mexico, Japan, and Norway, Night Lights brings together an eclectic assortment of indie, rock, and soul-influenced sounds, all designed to make people dance and feel feelings.
The now Los Angeles-based band met while attending school in Boston, and have since discovered a balance between profound lyrics, hooky melodies, intriguing harmonic progressions, and danceability. They count among their influences Mutemath, Two Door Cinema Club, Friendly Fires, and Radiohead to name but a few. Their highly original songs touch on the subject of existentialism and the confrontation of the self, hoping to discover a truth grounded in music, community, and conversation.
Night Lights have been featured on Billboard, Indie Shuffle, NPR, BBC World News, LA Weekly and many more, as well as having charted on Spotify’s Viral 50 Global and Viral 50 US. The band have also garnered over 670K plays on Spotify.
Produced by Brian Philipps (Walk the Moon, COIN) ‘Talk To Me’ is a hooky indie-pop/ alt-rock track with infectious lyrics, jangly guitars and driving drums. Enjoy!
