Listen: Hold Me Down – Trapdoor Social

On Wednesday morning’s EILE music slot, we feature Indie/Alternative/Rock, and environmentally active musical collective, Trapdoor Social, who have just released a great single called Hold Me Down. The energetic track fuses surf/rock and indie/pop melodies, creating an atmospheric, engaging, and overtly California-style homophony (the style of music I’d also associate with bands like Django Django, or Two Door Cinema Club).

Los Angeles-based Trapdoor Social also have a record of fundraising and activism, supporting sustainability, producing outdoor solar-powered concerts around the US, including Sunstock Solar Festival, which takes place in Los Angeles annually. Their social activism has benefitted causes like Homeboy Industries, Mesa Ridge High School, and Kids Cancer Connection, among other projects, and they still have time to produce some great music! Have a listen to Hold Me Down, and see what you think!
