Today on EILE’s music slot, we are delighted to feature Irish artist, Daithí, an electronic musician from Galway, and his latest project, Orange, a song about the shattering effect of a relationship breakdown, and its aftermath. The track features Sinéad White’s clear vocal over a pared-back electronic instrumental. With the release comes a new video, directed by Lochlainn McKenna, and produced by Daithí, an introspective into the lives of a young couple over the course of 3 years. We watch them meet, grow, develop and ultimately disintegrate. Daithí also has some live gigs coming up in Dingle and Galway – 30 November to 2nd December, and 20th December respectively.
The video was filmed over the course of one day in North Cork, Ireland, with a small crew, featuring actors, Aoife Spratt and Diarmuid Noyes (fresh from the set of Virgin Media TV’s original drama, Blood).
Well worth a listen!
