BeLonG To are gathering the experiences of LGBTI+ people between 12 and 18 years at school, via their School Climate Survey, and have created a poster for you to share at your School or Youth Service.
This is their first School Climate Survey in partnership with the Ivy League research university, Columbia University in the USA.
They will share the results with politicians, policy makers, educators, and the media, and make sure the experiences captured are heard far and wide. With research comes a better understanding of how to make things better, which helps make change.
Who is the survey for? The survey is designed to be taken by anyone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or questioning (LGBTQI+) within the ages of 12 and 18 in Ireland.
How long does the survey take? The survey will take about 25-40 minutes, depending on the level of detail provided.
What is the closing date? The survey will close on August 31st, 2019.
What about data collection? All data will be collected in compliance with GDPR. Answers will be anonymous and confidential and will not be linked to any other details provided eg location.
When will the results be published? They will release the results during Stand-Up Awareness Week, which runs from November 11-15, 2019.
Other questions? Don’t hesitate to ask. Matt Kennedy who works in their Policy Department is coordinating this research. Matt is available to answer any questions you have over the phone on 01 670 6223, or over email firstname.lastname@example.org
