Video: Crimson Apple – Somebody

On EILE’s music slot this morning, we have a treat for you – a four-piece, all-female band called Crimson Apple!

Hailing originally from Hawaii, the four Benson sisters – Colby Benson, lead vocals; Shelby Benson, guitar; Carthi Benson, bass; and Faith Benson, drums – formed a pop/electronic, Kpop, Jpop band and moved to LA. Their influences include Imagine Dragons, Twenty One Pilots and Taylor Swift, but they write their own original material, and their 2015 debut album, Hello, has earned them critical acclaim in the music world.

Since the band’s inception in 2012, CRIMSON APPLE has shared stages with such venerated artists as All Time Low, The Plain White Ts, Switchfoot, One Republic, and Hawaiian music legends, HAPA. Here they sing their latest single, Somebody, a pared-back track starting with just a voice and a beat at first, and then rising to a full sonic landscape of instruments and voices, you’ll be left wanting to hear more of this all-girl band. Enjoy!
