10 Years of Stand Up Awareness Week!

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of BeLonG To’s ‘Stand Up Awareness Week’. For a decade now, youth across Ireland have been taking a stand against homophobic, transphobic, and biphobic bullying.

Unfortunately, anti-LGBTI+ bullying is not a thing of the past. It is happening across Ireland every day.

You can take a stand for LGBTI+ young people by downloading the Stand Up Awareness Pack.

You can download this year’s Stand Up Awareness Week Pack here.

This year’s pack includes:

  • A Resource Booklet packed with Activity Ideas.
  • A Primer on LGBTI+ Terminology.
  • Tips to Support Transgender Youth.

The pack also includes bright, colourful posters for your Youth Space.

Hang them up and let young people know that your Youth Service is LGBTI+ friendly.

You can also join the Conversation Online

As part of this year’s Stand Up event, BeLonG To are asking you to share your activities on social media, using the hashtag #Standup19.

Don’t forget to send photos of any activities you arrange for Stand Up Awareness Week to standup@belongto.org
