NI: The Doorman & The Duck – Europa Hotel Xmas Video

Move over John Lewis, there’s a new Irish star this Christmas.

Hastings Hotels has launched its heart-warming 2019 festive campaign, The Doorman and the Duck.

This beautiful tale begins on a dark, stormy night, when the little duckling gets separated from his family, and finds a warm welcome at one of Belfast’s most famous landmarks, the Europa Hotel, where he is rescued by the kind doorman.

To celebrate The Doorman and the Duck, Hastings Hotels have launched a fabulous Black Friday Extravaganza.

To take advantage of these offers, go to www.hastingshotels.com or call the Gift Hotline on 028 9047 1066. These offers are available online today, Friday, until 23:59, and by calling the hotline between 8am – 8pm today.

“The duck has been central to Hastings Hotels for almost 30 years and we are delighted to bring him to life this year for our Christmas Campaign,” said Julie Hastings, Marketing Director of Hastings Hotels.

“The new ad represents the true sentimentality of the festive season, and we hope people will fall in love with ‘The Doorman and the Duck’ just as much as we have.”

The much-loved Hastings complimentary rubber ducks are given to guests when they stay at one of the seven hotels, with new versions launched regularly. Over Christmas, the hotels give the ducks as ‘quackers’ instead of crackers on the tables for Christmas party nights and dining.

The ducks have met hundreds of celebrities including Rory McIlroy, Lionel Ritchie, Michael Douglas, Shania Twain, Jamie Doran, President Michael D Higgins, and Britain’s Prince Charles.
