Irish Film: The Last Right (& Trailer)

A fateful exchange on a flight from New York to Ireland has complicated consequences for Daniel Murphy (Michiel Huisman). He’s left in charge of a corpse, the body of someone he never knew. In a bid to persuade his autistic brother, Louis (Samuel Bottomley) to return to New York with him, Daniel agrees to drive the remains across the length of Ireland, from Cork to Rathlin Island.

Hitching a ride in the passenger seat is Mary (Niamh Algar), a flighty young mortician, with her own agenda. When the Gardaí start asking questions, the unlikely trio soon find themselves the focus of a nationwide manhunt. As sparks ignite between Mary and Daniel, a long-buried family secret endangers the fragile truce between the brothers, with Mary caught in the crossfire.
