As cities lock down, drag queens go digital!
Entire cities are shutting down due to coronavirus, causing LGBT pubs, nightclubs and bars around the world to temporarily close their doors.
In response, some performers like Jinkx Monsoon, Miz Cracker, Alaska and Honey Davenport, who are also stars of American reality series ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Queens’, have started streaming their acts live on apps, to help raise spirits during lockdown.
They explain how going digital has changed the way they do drag, and why it’s so important to maintain safe spaces for the LGBT+ community during times like this.
