Netflix feature Meghan O’Neill track on ‘Firefly Lane’

Kildare singer-songwriter, Megan O’Neill has just finished working on her second full-length studio album, ‘Getting Comfortable with Uncertainty’, set for public release 12 March 2021.

Deemed a ‘rising star’ by uDiscover and Timeout Magazine London, the album has already received huge attention in the sync world, with one track featured in a major Netflix series, ‘Firefly Lane’, which is the #1 hit show on Netflix this week.
The song is a bonus track on the album, a brooding cover of Jim Croce’s hit, Time in a Bottle.

Megan says:

“The reaction to Time in a Bottle on Firefly Lane has been absolutely incredible. So many messages rolling in from all around the world and a few of the cast members have reached out with lovely comments. It’s pretty wild to see the show now sitting at #1 recommended on Netflix all over the world – to know that that many people are hearing the song is mind-blowing!”

Firefly Lane, which debuted on Netflix in Ireland last week, is based on the 2008 novel of the same name, by Kristin Hannah. The ten-episode series traces more than 30 years of friendship between the outgoing, carefree, Tully (Katherine Heigl) and her quieter, more grounded counterpart, Kate (Sarah Chalke).

Megan’s rendition of ‘Time in a Bottle’, a song about time passing, fittingly plays as the opening scenes, showing Tully becoming a teenager, and Kate growing from a teenager into an adult.

Megan’s new album ‘Getting Comfortable with Uncertainty’ will be out 12th March 2021.
