Theatre Opportunity:

Bang! by Michelle Read, directed by Davey Kelleher, will be presented at the Dublin Theatre Festival 2021 at Smock Alley Theatre.

In association with TENI – The Trans Equality Network of Ireland, the production team are delighted to offer a production internship for an early career theatre artist, student, or aspiring professional, who identifies as a member of the trans community.

Interested parties are encouraged to submit a short expression of interest (200 – 300 words) and a CV, by Monday, 30th August.

There will be a short interview by Zoom on Friday, 3rd September.

The internship will commence on Monday, 13th September, and run part-time until mid-October.

Please send expressions of interest to: bangproductioninternship@gmail.com

Bang is a drama-comedy with a big heart, the perfect party descends into chaos as pressure builds and a seismic event forces a family to re-assess everything they hold to be true. A moving and compassionate play about love, family and the struggle to truly be yourself.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to observe rehearsals, shadow the director and playwright, and to learn about the process of bringing a new show to the stage.

A stipend will be paid to cover the time and expenses of the selected candidate, and a mutually agreeable schedule will be negotiated to accommodate other commitments.
