Another major milestone has been reached with the passing of the Marriage Bill on Thursday last, 22nd October. It will now be sent on to President Michael D. Higgins to be signed into law. The approximate date for the long awaited first same-sex marriages will be mid-November, and the Minister for Justice, Frances Fitzgerald, said:
