Over the last couple of months, the Russian LGBT Network has evacuated and supported people who have been persecuted in the Chechen Republic, based on their sexuality. The Network has also tried to ensure that the federal authorities initiate transparent and effective investigation of persecution, unlawful detainments, torture, and murders of homosexual people in Chechnya.

Traffic lights in Linz in Austria, which were put up to promote inclusion, and were funded by private donations, have now been taken down by a right-wing councillor, Markus Hein, who is a member of the Freedom Party (FPÖ). His party had also lodged a criminal complaint against the councillor who had organised the lights.
