Traffic lights in Linz in Austria, which were put up to promote inclusion, and were funded by private donations, have now been taken down by a right-wing councillor, Markus Hein, who is a member of the Freedom Party (FPÖ). His party had also lodged a criminal complaint against the councillor who had organised the lights.

In the UK, a 40-year-old man has been charged with the murder of four gay men in their twenties, by poisoning them with the sedative drug, GHB. The man, Stephen Port, appeared at the Barkingside Magistrates Court on Monday, and has been remanded in custody.
